Early Bird Ride – sunrise tour

Who would not like to experience a sunrise on a mountain peak? With e-mountain bikes and the guides `from` the Ötzi Bike Academy, all bikers now have the opportunity to experience an unforgettable adventure in the South Tyrolean mountains.

In the dark we start with the bikeshuttles, which take us to the forest parking Kreuzbrünnl at about 1.500 m. From here, by moonlight, we follow a forest path to the Naturnser Alm (1920 m) and continue to the highest point of the tour, the "Rauhen Bühel" - an unwooded high plateau at 2,000 m. Once here, we wait for an unforgettable sunrise, enjoy the soothing silence and the view of the Vinschger and Merano mountains up to the Dolomites. Feel the warming sunrays on your skin and experience how the peaks of the surrounding mountains shine in the dawn.

The now following descent has it all. Flowing trails lead down to the Vigiljoch and on to the Bärenbad Alm (1.700m). Here the landlady awaits us with fresh bread, jam, cheese and bacon for a hearty South Tyrolean breakfast. Freshly fortified, we continue along wonderfully deserted forest trails to the Vinschgau Valley, 1,500 m below.

Arriving at the hotel, you can already boast of a summit experience at a time when for everyone else the day has not even begun.

Tour dates:

• Kilometer: 29 km
• vertical meters uphill: 600 hm
• vertical meters downhill: 1500 hm
• Driving technique: S1- S2 (there is also the possibility to take the forest road for the descent)

Equipment:

Bike, helmet and warm bike clothes (headlamp if possible)
