Alpine Walking San Martino al Monte 1740 m

Course: Laces - cable car - St. Martino al Monte - Alpl - Dolomitenblick - Platztair - back to the cable car

First, take the cable car from the small mountain village of San Martino al Monte at 1740 metres above sea level. Then walk from the mountain station up to the church and turn left following the signs for “Alpl”. After a short, steep climb, a small weekend cottage can be seen on the right-hand side in front of you. Now, turn right here and follow path No. 1 towards Vista sulle Dolomiti. Walk through a wonderful larch forest until you reach the next fork for the path. Then follow path No 8a. It goes slightly downhill from here, until you hit an asphalt road above the Platztairhof. The tour takes you along the road and back to the starting point of the San Martino cable car station.
