035 Tour to the "Mausloch Alm" hut

Course: Naturno – farm „Plon“ – car park Kreuzbrünnl along the Bike Highline to the Ötzi trail – Platzgumm – Naturno

With this tour we check out the surrounding of Naturno. From the Tourist Office of Naturno we ride to the main street, then we continue to the right until the first crossroad, `where` we turn left into via Stazione, which we follow until we cross the bridge over the Adige, to reach the sports field, the starting point of the climb on the Monte Tramontana di Naturno, that leads us all the way up to the car park "Kreuzbrünnl" (1600m). For those who doesn´t want to do the whole uphill there is a possibility to get to the rewarding trail at half way. After 7,6 km and 710 meters of elevation gain follow the signs to the farm "Platzgumm". Shortly before the farm the start of the lower part of the "Ötzi trail" is located. Those who did the uphill to the car park "Kreuzbrünnl" now take the Merano Bike- Highline following the signs to the "Mauslochalm" hut, until we reach to the starting point of the technically demanding "Ötzi trail" shortly under the hut. The S3 trail offers us everything a mountainbiker needs. From flowy sections in the upper part to really rocky and blocked but always drivable sections in the lower part. Passing the restaurant "Waldschenke" we get to Cirlano and back to Naturno. This tour can be shorten by taking the bike shuttle service to the car park "Kreuzbrünnl".
