032 Panoramic tour to the "Tablander Alm" hut

Course: Naturno - Shuttle car park "Kreuzbrünn"l –"Mausloch" hut – "Tablander Alm" hut – start trail n. 4 (Lupotrail) – trail n. 9 (Fontanatrail) – Ciardes - Naturno

We take advantage of the bike shuttle transport service (Information at the tourist office or Ötzi Bike Shop) that takes us `from` Naturno to the Kreuzbrünnl car park. From here we start riding on a forest road to the "Mausloch" hut. Shortly under the hut we keep right on a left hairpin bend to follow the Merano Bike-Highline. At some point the forest road turns into a singletrail which we follow first slightly uphill and than in a constant up and down to the "Tablander Alm" hut. For advanced bikers the singletrail is fully passable. Beginners might need to push the bike at some parts. Arrived at the "Tablander Alm" hut we also reached the highest point of the tour. The downhill starts and following the forest road nr.4 we ride past the car park "Schartegg" and shortly after, on the right side we reach the entrance of the singletrail nr.4 (Lupotrail). We cross the forest road two times and the first time we get to an asphalted street we leave the trail to proceed on the asphalted street until the next hairpin bend, `where` we take the trail nr.9 (Fontanatrail), which brings us to the farm "Niedermair". By following the technically demanding "Fontanatrail" we reach the bottom of the valley, `where` we cross the bridge over the "Adige" and turn right to get back to Naturno.
