The "Eisjöchl" is one of the most famous tour in the alps. It is both technically and physically demanding but for sure a life goal for a lot of mountainbiker. The excursion often is done in two stages. Our tour starts `from` the center of Naturno. From the center we turn towards Val Venosta. After about 2 km we turn left on the state road towards Val Venosta. After a hundred meters we turn right on the Val Senales road. We cross the illuminated tunnels and continue along the road that leads us uphill for approx. 10 km, `where` the steep street into the val di Fosse starts and leads us to the farm and restaurant "Vorderkaser". From now on we proceed on the forest road into the heart of the famous val di Fosse. We ride past the "Rableid" hut and arrive at the "Eishof" hut (2071m). After a break or an overnight stay at the "Eishof hut" our ride leads us to an old military road (mid - steep) that will bring us up to the "Eisjöchl" (2895m). Shortly after the alpine pass we arrive at the "Petrarca" hut (2875m). The downhill to Plan is technically demanding, with a lot of hairpin bends full of gravel. The technical part ends at the "Lazins" hut, `where` we proceed on the forest road down to Plan. From Plan we take the aspalted street to get to San Leonardo in Passiria (signposted), `where` we take the cycle path to Merano (signposted, we recommend a visit). After a visit around Merano we retake the cycle path that leads us through Lagundo, Tel, Rablá, Plaus and finally Naturno.
